Gardening Club – Mr Perkins, a retired teacher, is our Horticulturist and works tirelessly to ensure our children are given the very best opportunity to learn about the natural world. Another crucial aspect of his role is to help the children plan the development of outdoor learning spaces and habitats, including raised beds for growing fruit and vegetables, managing our latest addition of a Peace garden where fruit trees grow. Produce grown by the children in the kitchen garden is used to provide a Harvest lunch for elderly members of the village each year. The gardening club, which includes children from all age groups, look forward to serving the lunch made from food they have grown. Boris, our largest pumpkin grown to date weighed in at 23kg!
